Between Your Hand and mine - María Isabel Clausen
Between you hand and mine
A homage to all the human beings of this world
who had to suffer the scourge of war, specially the
Malvinas War Veterans.
María Isabel Clausen
María Isabel Clausen
I feel myself Argentine up to my bones. I wanted to go by my free will to Malvinas to defeat the British. In 1982, I cried from the beggining to the end for the war for its consequences. I didn´t find a victor in the British but another beaten human being , of a different flag but enduring the same pain than my Malvinas` boys. I erased my rancour and asked God that He may enlighten my words to give love back to life. I hope this book will help other veterans of war to find a path of light to happiness in spite of their memories.

HORS DE COMBAT - The Falklands-Malvinas Conflict-Five Years On

Hors de Combat brings together contributions from the University of Nottingham´s 2006 Internatonal Colloquium, ¨The Falklands-Malvinas Conflict Twenty-Five Years on¨. The initiative to hold such an historic event led to the coming together for the first time since the 1982 War of ex-combatants frm both sides, in dialogue with special historians, media sociologists, lawyers, literary critics and psychiatrists, as well as with veterans of other wars. Their contributions, edited by Diego F.García Quiroga and Mike Seear, who themselves fought in the War, are published here as a written record of what, for many, had been a unique moment of peace and reconciliation.

Return To Tumbledown - Mike Seear

¨Remarkable and unprecedented access to Argentine first-hand sources and participants is balanced by scrupulous concern for evolking contemporary and subsequent British and Islander witness, testimony and recollection ¨.

Bernard McGuirk, author of Falklands-Malvinas: An Unfinished Business

This book describes in a most beautiful way our relation with the three big A, B and C Argentina, Brazil and Chile)  stimulating our spiritual energies by underlining the naval officer´s worldwide known attributes: knowledge, loyalty and sacrifice.

British and American Presence in The United Provinces of the Rio de la Plata

This is a remarkable book which describes with great accuracy the role of British and American citizens in the United Provinces of the Río de la Plata. Eduardo reminds us how very close have been the relations  historically between Britain and Argentina, and he introduces us admirably to the extraordinary world of the business venturers who made new lives for themselves and their families thousands of miles away from home. This was a time of courage, loyalty, risks and romance instilled forever in the Argentine history.

British and American Presence in The United Provinces of the Rio de la Plata - Part II
In this second volume Eduardo offers us the most thorough research on European citizens who made a real contribution to Argentine history. These include an American and a British medicine doctor, a Royal Navy rear-admiral, a Connaught Ranger private, and a renowned Dominican Irish priest from Loughrea; they are all accurately depicted alongside others in a number of colourful stories. Subjects covered range from an 80-gun Third Rate of the Royal Navy to the powerful ships built in Laird Brothers' shipyards in Birkenhead for President Sarmiento´s squad in 1872.  Eduardo demonstrates the same spirit of reconciliation he  kindled in Nottingham by demonstrating the deep historical bonds between our countries.

This book contains the eyewitness account of the surgeon of the cruiser ARA General Belgrano during his last voyage in May 1982, her sinking and the survival in the rafts.

The author describes his experiences, circumstances, feelings, emotions and thought which arise in extreme situations.

The sinking of the cruiser ARA General Belgrano, the search for survivors and rescue of the shipwrecked with the examples of sacrifice, abnegation and heroism belong to our Nation´s spiritual treasure.

Half of our current citizenship were young and didn´t experience the 1982 events. About Malvinas they only know what they are been allowed to know. Our young citizens have the right to know the facts that occurred in Malvinas without falsehood, without exaggeration and without fantasies.

The moral values incarnated in cruiser´s epopee should be kept in our memory for its transmission to future generations and the historical heritage of our Argentina.

This story does not have an eye put on the past but in the future.
